Strathtay war memorial before work © D Strathtay Community Council Town Council, 2008Strathtay and Grandtully war memorial is a simple square base of granite blocks upon which stands a granite obelisk with loose stones around the base. Upon the memorial are two plaques with the names of the Fallen of each World War. The memorial stands in the Grandtully and Strathtay conservation area.

In 2008 War Memorials Trust contributed £637 towards repairs necessary following two vehicle accidents in a matter of weeks damaged the memorial. On impact base stones were knocked out leading to the entire memorial having to be dismantled and rebuilt using the original materials and lime mortar. In addition a small chip in the plaque was repaired.

The memorial was dedicated in 1921 by the Duke of Atholl and the local Minister. It was paid for by public subscription.
