This memorial is located opposite the Post Office in Burley, Hampshire. It is a Portland Stone Celtic cross on square plinth with inscriptions and two stepped base. The memorial is surrounded by posts and chain link.

War Memorials Trust gave a grant of £1,550 to clean the memorial with water and soft bristle brushes, re-point joints and repaint lettering. Its landscaping was also improved by re-fixing the paving stones and repainting the metal chains.

The memorial was erected in 1919 at the expense of a local resident, Col. F. Willan in gratitude for the survival of his sons and to honour those who fell.
