This modern memorial is located next to St Mary’s Church, Mentmore, Bedfordshire. It is in the shape of a large rough stone with circular slate plaque in front with inscription. The whole sits on a square brick base. It was designed by Alec Peever.
War Memorials Trust gave a grant of £315 to fund the addition of World War II names at the request of a local resident. The names were inscribed onto a slate in the same style as the main plaque.
