This memorial is located in the Market Square, Staines, Surrey. It is made from Portland stone and Staines war memorial sculpture © Spelthorne BC, 2008has a two-stepped base surmounted by square double plinth and winged figure of Victory holding aloft a torch. Inscription in black lettering on the sides of the plinth. Arms come from the base of the plinth with a figure of a serviceman standing on each one. The figures are: a soldier in field kit with rifle; sailor in day rig with signal flags; airman in flying rig; and marine in field kit with rifle stand on the arms.

War Memorials Trust gave a grant of £370 for repairs to the tops of two rifles and the tops of the flag staffs. This was done by selecting matching stone which was carved to the original design as closely as possible. Some of the joints were also re-pointed in lime mortar.

The memorial was unveiled in 1920 by Brigadier General Earl of Lucan.

The inscription reads:

To
our glorious dead
1914 - 1918
this war memorial is erected by
the people of StainesStaines war memorial sculpture © Spelthorne BC, 2008
in proud and grateful homage to
their fellow townsmen
who endured all and gave all that
honour and freedom might prevail

They shall grow not old
as we that are left grow old
age shall not weary them
nor the years condemn

At the going down of the sun
and in the morning
we will remember them.

1939 1945
In memoriam
to all those killed at
home and abroad
through enemy action

Their name liveth
forevermore.
