Stanton war memorial shrine © R. Jackson, 2010One of Stanton's war memorials is located on the High Street. It is a shrine in a gabled recess with a bronze plaque.

In 2000, War Memorials Trust contributed £200 to a project to relay the area at the base of the war memorial with flagstones and the planting grass around the surrounding areas. The work improved access to the memorial and created a space between traffic and the memorial affording greater protection from environmental damage.

The plaque carries the inscription

"Pray for the men of Stanton who
gave their lives in the Great War
A.D. 1914-1919 to whose memory the
village has dedicated the new cross

QMS Carkell Coldicote Warwickshire Yeomanry
