Wickham war memorial © RBL Wickham Branch 2000The war memorial in the small town of Wickham, in the Meon Valley in Hampshire, is in the churchyard of St Nicholas parish church on Southwick Road. It is made of Portland stone and is a cross with unusual carvings on a slim pillar which stands on a plinth. The memorial has an octagonal three-stepped base. There are inscriptions on the plinth and on the face of the top step. World War II names have been added to a face of the bottom step.

In September 2000 War Memorials Trust gave £150 towards the costs of cleaning the memorial, raking out and re-pointing joints and picking out the lettering.

The names from World War II inscribed on the memorial are

R.F.M. Adams                                     J.P. Carpenter
F.G. Ball                                                          -Garnier
M.A. Bruce            R. E. Davis               A.E. Houghton
