The Bellingham Boer War war memorial Fountain in Manchester Square stands in front of the Rose and Crown. It remembers Yeoman and Volunteers from Bellingham and around who fought in the South African Wars.
The Small Grant Scheme donated £250.00 towards a project to refurbish the war memorial.
The memorial originally stood in the centre of the village but was moved in the 1950's due to increasing volumes of traffic.
The inscription reads:
Erected
in Honour of the following local members of
Yeomanry and Volunteers who fought in the
Boer War 1900 - 1 - 2
