Tynemouth war memorial © J Pasby 2009The Tynemouth war memorial column has an inscription on one face and names on the other three faces. Decoration includes a wreath with sword. The memorial stands on the village green.

In 1999 the Tynemouth Village Association opened a War Memorial Fund to pay for the names of 82 dead of World War II from the village, to be added to their memorial. War Memorials Trust gave £200 to the Fund.
