Kinver war memorial obelisk stands on a two part base upon which the inscription and names are recorded. To one side of the memorials stands a public drinking fountain. Kinver is near Stourbridge in Staffordshire.
The memorial was situated in National Trust land about 2 kilometres from the village centre. The local community felt it would be more appropriate if the memorial was sited in the centre of the village. However relocation of the memorial was not possible. War Memorials Trust gave £250 to the project working party (consisting of the Royal British Legion, the local council, the National Trust and members of the public) so that they could fund the building of a new memorial at the heart of the village.
