Boddington war memorial © S. Williams, 2009A small plaque had been installed in the country church of St Mary Magdelene at Boddington in Gloucestershire. The stone tablet records the fallen of World War I.

In 1999 it was decided that alongside the somewhat battered hand written roll of honour there should be a memorial in the church. Local fundraising and a contribution of £100 from War Memorials Trust enabled the installation of the stone tablet.

The inscription on the memorial reads:

Boddington
Parish
Roll of Honour
1914 - 1918

Frank Joseph Arkell
William Elliott Cook
William Richard Skirton
Herbert Victor Tomlinson
Leonard Rees Tomlinson

Their name liveth for evermore
