The Pickering Memorial Hall stands on Bridge Street. It was built around 1867 as a corn mill. In 1999 a large scale restoration project was undertaken. Part of this included the installation of a new memorial plaque to the men of the Guards Armoured Division who were based around Pickering in 1943 and 1944.
War Memorias Trust contributed £250 towards this new memorial which was to be a central feature in the main hall.
The memorial hall is a Grade II listed building sited in a conservation area.
