Little Dawley memorial near Telford is a wooden cross standing behind a memorial stone upon which the names of fallen are recorded. A communal space was chosen with benches surrounding the memorial when it was erected in 1999.
War Memorials Trust supported the project and contributed £250.
Sadly, on the morning of the dedication service vandals damaged the memorial. However, the local community rallied together, repairs were made and the service took place.
