Tranmere war memorial © M Coyle 2009The Church of St Paul with St Luke stands on Old Chester Road in Birkenhead. There are war memorial plaques that record the fallen of the First and Second World Wars.

In 1998 two war memorial plaques were created to record 56 people who fell in World War II. They were to match those that remembered the Fallen of World War I. War Memorials Trust contributed £150 to the project.
