Exing war memorial cross is constructed of Cornish granite. It records the fallen of both World Wars.
In 1998 War Memorials Trust awarded £175 to a £30,000 scheme to improve safety at the accident prone junction which involved the re-siting of the war memorial which had been damaged by traffic on a number of occassions. After standing for 80 years at the now busy crossroads it moved to a new position about 12 feet away, where it became the centrepiece of a new memorial garden.
The memorial was unveiled in 1921 in front of over 5,000 people by Lt-Colonel W. E. Guiness with the dedication led by Canon W. T. Farmiloe.
The inscription on the memorial reads:
