Barnt Green war memorial is a freestanding wall. On the wall is a figure of Christ with two military figures in recesses. Plaques remembering the fallen are attached to the sides of the memorial wall. St Andrews Church is a Grade II listed church and the war memorial may be covered as part of its curtilage.
In 2001, £150 from War Memorials Trust supported a relocation project for the war memorial. It was moved from the north end of St Andrew's were it had been placed on the front of the Church. This was part of a redevelopment project for the building which, when built in the 1920's was never properly finished as funds were diverted from it to a new school meaning. In 2001 funds were secured to finish the work and as part of that the features that made up the memorial were moved from the wall of the Church to a purpose built wall making it easier to read the names of those remembered.
