Lamplugh war memorial © Ullock & District RBL, 2007Lamplugh war memorial cross stands on a pedestal upon which are engraved names and an inscription. It is constructed of grey granite stone. It is located in the churchyard of St Michael's. When the names of the fallen of World War II were added it as moved from its original site under the West window to face the Church.

A conservation project was undertaken in 2007 to restore the memorial. War Memorials Trust provided a grant of £500 towards the cost of levelling up the memorial which had tilted, cleaning and re-lettering.

The memorial was funded by public subscription. It was erected in 1921, built by Messrs Beattie and Co. of Carlisle. A dedication service took place in June of that year. It was attended by The Bishop of Carlisle, Rev Basil Sherwen the Rector of Dean and Rev. R. Haythornthwaite the Recor of Lamplugh. The memorial was unveiled by Colonal D. J. Mason D.S.O. The Last Post was played, the choir sang O valiant heart and attendees laid their tributes.
