Birchencliffe war memorial before work © Birchencliffe Parish Council, 2002Birchencliffe war memorial is located at St Philip the Apostle church on Halifax Road. The sundial is made of Yorkshire stone and carries names and an inscription. The memorial forms part of the curtilage of the grade II listed Church.

In 2002, a grant of £200 was made through the Small Grants Scheme towards the costs of relocating the stone war memorial within the grounds of the church.

The memorial was erected in 1937.
