Bacton war memorial stands in the churchyard of St Mary's. It is a cross above two steps and a plith. The memorial is constructed of Aberdeen granite.
In 2002 the lettering on the inscription and names was fading. Re-painting was necessary and War Memorials Trust contributed £150 towards the work.
The memorial was unveiled on 24 October 1920 by Captain Owen Clarke at a dedication ceremony. It records the fallen of the Great War with the addition of names from World War II.
