Lower Hardres war memorial is on the roadside of School Lane, near the junction with Hardres Court Road. The memorial cross is constructed of granite and takes the form of a celtic cross on a rough plinth upon a two stepped base. A sword is shown in relief on the front face of the memorial. The memorial is within a conservation area.
In 2003 War Memorials Trust provided a grant of £100 towards cleaning and re-pointing work.
The memorial was unveiled in June 1920 by Brigadier General Neil W Haig.
