Sherston war memorial © R. Lloyd 2009A Cotswold stone memorial tablet was placed in the Sherston war memorial lychgate at the Church of The Holy Cross in 1920. It is dedicated to 23 people from the village of Sherston who gave their lives in the First World War.

War Memorials Trust awarded a grant of £300.00 to the Sherston war memorial fund to assist with cleaning the war memorial and undertaking mortar repairs.

At the same time as the original 1920 memorial was restored a new plaque was place on the opposite wall of the lychgate. This remembered 13 further casualties of the First World War as well as 15 from later conflicts including the Second World War and Northern Ireland.
