Buckfastleigh war memorial after © Buckfastleigh Town Council 2004The Buckfastleigh war memorial cross stands in the grounds of the Holy Trinity Church on Church Hill. The thirteenth century Church was damaged by fire in 1992; what is left following the fire has been left. The memorial is a granite cross on a plinth and step. The names of the Fallen are shown in raised lead lettering and painted in black. The cross is surrounded by paving and a fence. The memorial is listed at grade II.

A grant of £400 was awarded to clean the memorial, re-point some of the joints and re-lettering works to repair some of the names.

The memorial was erected in 1921 with funds raised through public subscription. It remembers the Fallen of the the First and Second World Wars.
