Chalfont St Peter war memorial is located at St Peters Churchyard, Chalfont St Peter, Buckinghamshire. This memorial is a stone lantern cross on an octagonal shaft on a three stepped base. The inscriptions carved in relief on the plinth and wings commemorate those who died in World War I and World War II. The memorial is listed by virtue of being located in the curtilage of the grade II* listed church.
In 2016 a grant of £2,750 was awarded through the War Memorials Trust Grants Scheme towards cleaning with water and brushes and repairs to stone steps and risers and pointing in lime mortar.
The memorial was designed by Mr W Acworth of Gerrards Cross and approved by Oxford Diocese in 1919. It was built by Messrs Brown & Sons (Wellingborough) with funds raised by public subscription. It was unveiled by Brig Gen Stephen Lushington on 6th March 1920 and dedicated by Rev Charles A S Whittington. In 1980 the lettering of the 1914-18 names was recut by Oxford Stone & Marblecraft paid for by the Parish Council and a local collection organised by the British Legion. In 1996 repair work was carried out by Creative Memorials of High Wycombe which cost £1,795 plus VAT.
