Odsey war memorial is located at Station Road, Odsey, Cambridgeshire. This memorial is in the form of a Portland limestone monolithic stone of remembrance. The incised inscription is painted black commemorating those who died in World War I and II.
In 2016 a grant of £1,270 was awarded through the War Memorials Trust Grants Scheme towards cleaning with steam to improve legibility of the inscription, painting the lettering black to match existing and lime mortar pointing.
The war memorial was designed by Lutyens who had been appointed to redesign a house called Ashwell Bury at Ashwell. This connection would almost certainly have led to the appointment of Lutyens to design the Ashwell war memorial and subsequently, at the behest of Sir George Fordham JP of Odsey, to design the Odsey memorial. Sir George, who had been Chairman of Cambridgeshire County Council from 1904 to 1919, gave the land on which the memorial stands and paid for it.
