Walton war memorial is located at Walton, near Wellesbourne, Warwickshire. This memorial is a stone wheel cross on a tapered plinth on two stone steps. The inscription is in raised stone lettering on the plinth commemorating those who died in World War I and II. It is located in Walton Village Conservation Area.
In 2016 a grant of £650 was offered through War Memorials Trust Grants Scheme, supported by the First World War Memorials Programme, towards repair and conservation works. This included cleaning with water and bristle brushes then re-painting the raised lettering in black paint to make the inscription legible. The intention was to remove any damaging surface dirt and ensure the dedication and names could be read. There was no attempt to return it to a 'as new' appearance as that would have required over-cleaning which would cause long-term damage to the stone and reduce the length of time it would stand in its original form.
The memorial was constructed in 1920.
