Lightwater war memorial is located on a green at the junction of All Saints Road and Guildford Road in Lightwater, Surrey. This Cornish grey granite memorial is in the form of a Celtic circular cross on a square tapering shaft with a sword in relief. This stands on a square granite base with a chamfered block inscription plinth. The inscription is found on a flat recessed area in raised lead lettering painted black. The memorial commemorates those who died in World War I and World War II.

In 2015, a grant of £880 was awarded through the War Memorials Trust Grants Scheme towards repair and conservation works. The memorial was steam cleaned and construction joints re-pointed using lime mortar. Where appropriate, damaged paint was removed from the lead lettering which was repainted with an oil based paint colour matched to the original to make the inscriptions more legible.

There has been limited historical information found although from records it is believed the cross was erected in 1920 or early 1921. The landscaping around the memorial was changed around 1934 and again in 1961.
