This war memorial is comprised of a historic sandstone Latin cross with chamfered shaft set on three-stepped base and pedestal. The memorial is located to the north side of the B4234 to the corner of a field, enclosed by a wrought-iron fence and sits on a stone platform enclosed and flanked by sandstone walls and approached by steps all of which form part of the memorial’s integral design. A stone plaque with the names of the World War II fallen is set into a lower wall below the memorial cross.

In 2016 a grant of £4,900 was awarded through War Memorials Trust Grants Scheme to undertake cleaning and re-pointing work. Vegetation was removed from the construction joints and the memorial was cleaned using a combination of soft bristle brushes and water and steam cleaning. The joints of the memorial and surrounding walls were raked out and where cementitious mortar had been used this was raked out. Re-pointing works were then carried out using a lime mortar to match the original.

World War I inscription incised on the cross pedestal reads:
“ERECTED BY THE PARISHIONERS TO THE MEMORY OF THE MEN OF THIS PARISH WHO GAVE THEIR LIVES IN THE WAR 1914 – 1919 IS IT NOTHING TO ALL YE THAT PASSES BY”
