Drayton St Leonard war memorial is located on High Street, Drayton St Leonard, Oxfordshire. This Clipsham limestone memorial is in the form of a Latin cross on an octagonal tapering shaft on a three stepped octagonal base. The lettering is inscribed into the stone and painted black. The memorial commemorates those who died in World War I and World War II.
In 2015 a grant of £2,228 was awarded through War Memorials Trust Grants Scheme towards a variety of works. This included steam cleaning followed by sharpening and deepening the inscriptions.
The letters were then re-painted black to improve legibility. Some repairs were also done with lime mortar.
The architect was Sir Aston Webb. The war memorial was dedicated on 17th October 1923 by Major General Sir Robert Fanshawe.
