Kemerton memorial before work © Kemerton Parish Council, 2015 The memorial consists of a stone cross surmounting a hexagonal plinth raised on a three stepped base. The memorial is located at the road junction centre of village.

In 2015 a grant of £2,300 was offered for repair and conservation work. A built up of soiling and biological growth on the surface of the stone and flaking paint was making it difficult to read the incised, in addition the Kemerton memorial after work © Kemerton Parish Council, 2016 steps of the memorial were in poor condition due to stone deterioration. To address these issues the memorial was appropriately cleaned and inscriptions were re-painted. Selective stone replacement was undertaken on the steps and the memorial was re-pointed with a lime mortar.

The memorial was dedicated and unveiled on the 9th January 1921. It was designed by Mr Herbert Baker FRIBA and constructed by E T Taylor and Son (Tewkesbury) with the help of Mr A Stanley (Kemerton).
