Isle of Dogs war memorial is located at Christ Church, Manchester Road, Isle of Dogs, London. The Calvary cross is constructed of timber with a cast iron figure of Christ painted white with a Portland stone plinth. The memorial commemorates the fallen of World War I with an incised inscription on the front recording this. The two sides also have incised inscriptions of the names of those who died, but they are not legible and research has so far uncovered no records of what those originally recorded. It is located in the Island Gardens Conservation Area.
In 2014, a grant of £1,435 was offered through the Small Grants Scheme towards cleaning of the Christ and repainting off-white, repair to the wooden cross, cleaning of the Portland stone plinth and sharpening and deepening of the lettering on the front to improve legibility.
The memorial was installed between the two World Wars.
