Coity war memorial is a granite structure, located outside St Mary’s Church in Coity. It features a three stepped base and tapered shaft, topped with a Celtic cross. The structure stands within a semi-circular enclosure, with a wall to the back and railings and gate at the front. The memorial lists the names of the men that fought and died in the First and Second World Wars, along with commemorative inscriptions.
In 2010 a grant of £111 was offered through the Small Grants Scheme towards conservation and repair work to the gate of the memorial. A damaged and corroded scroll detail was replaced to match the original in both design and material. The lock and handle of the gate were repaired and the gates were re-hung.
