North Malvern war memorial is located in Holy Trinity Churchyard and takes the form of a cross. The memorial is Grade II listed and is in a conservation area. The memorial is formed of a Portland stone octagonal base, tapering shaft and cross. The inscription is incised in the base and commemorates the fallen of the First and Second World Wars.
In 2014 War Memorials Trust offered a grant of £1,690 towards the conservation of this memorial. The inscriptions had lost legibility due to vegetative encroachment, therefore the war memorial was cleaned using a low pressure cleaning system and the eight inscription faces were then prepared using a disc polisher to enable the letters to be re-cut. The lettering was re-cut as necessary and four additional Second World War names were added to the memorial.
North Malvern war memorial was designed by Benard Miller, a lecturer in Design at Liverpool University and erected by Messers Houghton of Worcester at a cost of £320. The memorial was dedicated on the 11th November 1920 and the inscription reads:
“To the glory of God and in
memory of the fallen
1914-1918
(names)
Also in the memory of the fallen
1939-1945
(names)"
