It is located at the junction between Watch House Road and High Street, within the Conservation Area of Stebbing. The memorial lists the names of the men that fought and died in the First and Second World Wars, along with commemorative inscriptions.

In 2014 a grant of £586 was offered through the Small Grants Scheme towards cleaning and re-pointing the memorial. Low pressure steam cleaning was used to remove the build-up of dirt on the stone and the letters re-painted with black enamel paint in order to Stebbing war memorial inscriptions before cleaning and re-painting © Stebbing Parish Council, 2014make the inscriptions more legible.
