St Andrew the Great war memorial is located in the churchyard. The memorial is formed of a three stepped base, plinth and hexagonal obelisk. There is a wreath in relief at the front of the plinth, and the inscriptions are incised around the other sides. The memorial commemorates the fallen of the First World War. St Andrew the Great Church is in a conservation area.
In 2014, War Memorials Trust offered a grant of £1,080.00 towards the restoration of this memorial. The works included; reinstating the original stone obelisk which had been removed about ten years previous, steam cleaning of the memorial plinth and obelisk, repairing loose and friable stone using lime based mortar and re-pointing the memorial’s construction joints using an appropriate lime based mortar.
The inscription on the memorial reads:

in the Great War
1914-1919”
