This war memorial consists of a Latin cross with a slender shaft and an octagonal plinth and four stepped base. On the plinth is a dedication and the names of the fallen from the Village who died during World War I. On the steps are plaques to the men of the Village who lost their lives in later conflicts.
In 2013 War Memorials Trust offered a grant of £1,400 towards repairs to the war memorial. This included pinning a diagonal crack running through the shaft. Two 17mm holes were drilled and two non-ferrous pins were inserted and held in place with a resin. The crack was then filled using a colour-matched lime mortar. The cross was severely laminating due to weathering sustained by its prominent location. The stone cross was in a fragile condition so it was removed and replaced with one to match the design of the original, being held in place by a stainless steel pin. The fractured section of the base was repaired using a stainless steel bar fixed with resin. Finally all of the joints were re-pointed using a lime mortar.
The war memorial was constructed on 29th November 1919 and was unveiled by the Bishop of Gloucester. Mr S. A. Cooke of Paganhill was the designer and builder.
