Armitage war memorial © Armitage w/ Handsacre TC, 2013This war memorial consists of a stone crucifix set on a tiered base, the bottom step of which is carved into a clover leaf shape. Above the figure of Christ is a scroll bearing the letters INRI, and below is a shield embossed with lettering. On the base of the shaft is carved a wreath in relief. The plinth bears an inscription in relief to the men of the Parish who served during World War I and the base bears incised lettering to the men who dies during service in World War II.

In 2013 War Memorials Trust offered a grant of £612 towards cleaning of the memorial using water and non-metallic bristle brushes and re-pointing any open or loose joints using a lime mortar.
