This war memorial consist of a double headed stone cross set on stone plinth which bears an inscription to the men of the Parish who gave their lives during World War I and a two stepped base with an inscription to the men of the Parish who died during World War II.
In 2014 War Memorials Trust offered a grant of £1,118 towards cleaning of the memorial using a steam cleaning system, the loose and defective mortar was raked out and the joints were re-pointed using a non-cementitious lime mortar. The lettering was then re-pointed using black enamel paint.
The memorial was dedicated by the Bishop of Winchester on 04th April 1921.
The Inscription reads:
To the glory of God and in broad
and grateful memory of all the men
of the Empire and especially those
from this Parish who gave their lives
for their Country
in the Great War
1914 – 1919
they sought the glory of their
Country, they see the glory of God
Re-dedicated to the glory of God
and in memory of those whose
names are
engraved on this step
who gave their lives in the
Second World War
1939 – 1945
they died that we might live
