Harborne war memorial © C Hargreaves, 2013This war memorial consists of a Latin cross surmounting a haxagonal plinth and two stepped base, all constructed of limestone. The memorial is dedicated to the men of Harborne who lost their lives during fighting in World War I.

In 2013 War Memorials Trust offered a grant of £1,092 towards re-pointing of the memorial joints using a non-cementitious lime mortar and sharpening up of the lettering. In some areas the stone was in poor condition and the lettering was barely legible so needed re-cutting.

The war memorial was erected by Loxleys, a local stonemasons and was dedicated on 20th September 1921.Harborne war memorial © C Hargreaves, 2014
