Aylmerton war memorial cross cRichard Mickleburgh, 2014This war memorial consists of a plain cross with a carved stone Laurel wreath on the front. The memorial stands on a square plinth and a square base and is constructed of Lincolnshire stone. The memorial stands in St John the Baptist's Churchyard, Church Road, Aylmerton. The names for the fallen from both World Wars are inscribed into the base of the memorial.

In 2013, War Memorials Trust offered a total grant of £820 towards cleaning of the memorial using a steam cleaning system, re-pointing of the memorial joints and improvements to the access and hardstanding. The area surrounding the memorial was constructed of concrete and was in poor condition, with cracked and raised areas which were compromising the stability of the memorial. The hardstanding and the steps up to the memorial were replaced with a natural stone, leaving a draining gap at the base of the memorial, which was filled with loose shingle.
