Events 2014

War Memorials Trust held or attended a number of events in 2014. Details can be found below:  

WMT AGM: 14th July 2014

War Memorials Trust AGM will take place on Monday 14th July. The meeting will begin at 3pm and be held in the Parish Hall of St Peter’s Church in Eaton Square, London. If you are a member who plans to attend please let us know by calling 020 7834 0200 / 0300 123 0764 or emailing info@warmemorials.org.

Prior to the meeting, there will be an opportunity to join a war memorial walk. The walk will begin at 12pm taking approximately two hours and tickets cost £5. The walk will visit various memorials in the Chelsea and Battersea area, including the Dragoon guards war memorial in Ranelagh Gardens, war memorials in Battersea Park and the Chilianwalla memorial at Chelsea hospital. The plan is to stop for lunch in Battersea Park and get a bus from the end of the route back to the AGM. Marsh awards for excellence in public sculpture 2014

These annual awards are given to a public sculpture installed in a public place within the last two years, for a fountain installed in a public place in the last five years and for the conservation treatment or repair of an existing work in a public place within the last two years.  For further details about nominating a structure, please visit the Public Monuments and Sculpture Association website.
