This war memorial consists of a clock on the side of St Marys Church Copythorne. The memorial is dedicated to the 34 men of Copythorne who fell in World War I.
In 2013 War Memorials Trust offered a grant of £2,274 towards repairs and conservation of the clock. The clock dials were removed and the masonry recesses were cleaned out, with the timber fixings being treated with a preservative. The dials were then primed and painted black and then re-gilded using a 23.5 English double weight gold leaf. The dials were marked with Smartwater and re-fitted to the memorial. The striking mechanism was adjusted and the drive and pulley were checked and serviced.
The memorial clock was paid for by public subscription and was installed in 1920 by Alfred Peglarand.
