Froxfield war memorial stands 40m north of St Peter's Church on Froxfield Green close to a timber-framed listed lychgate. The stone cross is atop a tapered shaft on a plinth and four-stepped base. The memorial is Grade II listed and in the Froxfield Green conservation area.
In 2007, a Small Grants Scheme award of £850 supported a conservation project on the memorial. Repairs were undertaken to the stone work using matching stone and lime mortar, the memorial was re-pointed using lime mortar and cleaned with the DOFF method.
It is believed the memorial replicates that in Corfe in Dorset. It was dedicated by Col WG Nicholson who chaired the committee that erected the memorial. In 1951 four bronze plaques were added, funded by public subscription and manufactured by F. Osborne and Co Ltd.
