Niton war memorial cross © Geoffrey Allan, 2004Niton war memorial now stands in the grounds of St John's Church in Niton. The stone wheel cross stands upon a plinth which carries inscriptions and names.

In 1998, £200 supported the relocation of the memorial from its original site on Institution Hill to the churchyard. The move was due to concerns about the safety of the original site which was isolated and difficulties holding the annual Remembrance Service at the roadside.

The inscription on the base of the memorial reads:

"Obedient unto death
1914-1918
F. Baker J. W. Jeffery
S. W. Baverstock W. H. Jessop
H. J. Cawston E. V. Lott
