Pensford war memorial stands on Church Street, the A37. The celtic cross stands upon a plinth which details the inscription and names. The base is constructed of two steps and a low wall surrounds the front of the memorial.
In 2003 a grant of £100 was made towards the cleaning and the addition of a missing name. The name of Private Thomas Wood, who died, on 6th June 1944, aged 33, on the beaches of Normandy was added to the Memorial. Pte Thomas served with the Dorsetshire Regiment from 1932 and had seen service in India, Malta, North Africa and Sicily. He is buried in Bayeaux Cemetery, France.
The war memorial records the names of those who lost their lives in both World War I and World War II. Some of the inscription reads:
