The Queen’s Regiment war memorial formerly stood by the main gate of Howe Barracks, Canterbury, Kent which was the home base of the regiment. Following the closure of the barracks in 2015, it has since been relocated to Leros Memorial Garden, within Leros Barracks. The memorial consists of a Royal Coat of Arms mounted on a large plaque on a brick wall which has two integral pillars at either end. On these pillars are plaques displaying the badge of the Queen’s Regiment. In front of this wall is a brick plinth with the badge of the Queen’s Regiment on a panel on the front face. On the top face of the plinth is a metal plaque inscribed with the names of the men of the regiment died in action.
The badges mounted on the main wall are all painted, and in October 2004 War Memorials Trust gave £250 towards sanding down flaking areas of paint and repainting the background and any chipped areas.
The memorial was originally unveiled on 10th February 1995 by Maj Gen Fergus Ling. The memorial was dedicated by Ven Peter Mallett. The inscription on the memorial reads
