Standish war memorial cross cWar Memorials Trust, 2017Standish war memorial is located in the church yard of St Nicholas Church, Standish, Gloucestershire. This memorial is in the form of a stone Celtic wheel cross with Celtic knots carved into the wheel design. The inscription incised into the stone shaft commemorates those who died in World War I and II. It is located within the curtilage of the Grade I listed church.

In 2017 a grant of £620 was awarded through War Memorials Trust Grants Scheme towards gentle cleaning with water and bristle brushes and localised sharpening and deepening of some letters to improve the legibility of the inscription. The actual grant paid was reduced to £420 as less sharpening and deepening of lettering was needed than in the original quote.

The memorial was constructed after World War I.Standish war memorial cross cN Hooper, 2017
