Castlefields war memorial before grant works © Michael Fish 2014  Castlefields Wesleyan Church war memorial is located in All Saints Church, which is in a conservation area. The memorial is a marble plaque fixed to a marble base. The inscription is formed of painted lead-lettering and is dedicated to the men who fell in the First World War.

In 2014, War Memorials Trust offered a grant of £225 towards cleaning the memorial using water and non-metallic bristle brushes, repairing the damaged lettering using lead and re-enameling the lead lettering using Castlefields war memorial after grant works © Michael Fish 2014black enamel paint. The memorial was also fixed to a marble base, as it was previously propped up against a wall.

The inscription on the memorial reads:

"In memory of
men who have given their lives
in the Great War 1914-1918, connected
with Castlefields Wesleyan Church

(names)

Greater love hath no man than this, that
a man lay down his life for his
friends. John 15. 13.”
