Apply for a grant

This section provides comprehensive advice on how to apply for a grant. The advice is primarily aimed at grant applicants. Some of the guidance may also be of use to those undertaking projects but are not applying for funding.

As outlined in What we can and cannot fund just because a project is eligible does not mean it will receive a grant as it depends on the money available.

As we are a small charity, with the equivalent of two Conservation Officers to provide Technical Advice to potentially 100,000 war memorials in the UK, please be aware that the grant process will take time. The answers to many of the questions we get contacted about by telephone or email can be found on the website so we do encourage you to read this carefully as it is likely to be a quicker way of getting the information you want.

  4. Find comparable quotes or tenders following the appropriate process depending on the cost of your project
  5. Provide the supporting information required in the Application Form
